What’s Included & Setup
Your Onn Small Rugged Speaker package includes the speaker unit with attached carrying strap, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and a quick-start guide. We don’t include a wall adapter since most households already have USB charging blocks from phones and tablets — any standard 5V USB adapter works perfectly.
Setup takes less than a minute. Charge the speaker fully before first use by connecting the included cable to any USB power source. Press and hold the power button for three seconds until you hear the startup tone and see the LED indicator flash blue. Open your device’s Bluetooth settings, select “Onn Small Rugged Speaker” from the available devices list, and you’re ready to stream. The LED indicator turns solid blue once paired.

The Bluetooth 5.0 connection provides reliable range up to 33 feet in open outdoor spaces. Indoors, walls and obstacles reduce this range depending on construction materials — typical indoor range is 15-25 feet through standard drywall.
Concrete, metal studs, and multiple walls will further decrease range. For best performance, maintain line-of-sight between your device and the speaker when possible, though pocketed phones and minor obstacles generally won’t cause connection issues within reasonable distance.
The current model does not support TWS (True Wireless Stereo) pairing with a second unit. Each speaker connects independently to your Bluetooth device as a single mono speaker with 360-degree sound dispersion.
